Thursday, 9th February, 2012, 7pm at The Monks Yard -
"Business Networking and Sex" with Paul Clegg
Talk Summary
There are just two ways we can
view the year ahead. It's going to be challenging or it's going to be
exciting.
Whichever way you view 2012 you
really must take some time out to attend next week's meeting entitled
"Business Networking and Sex". Actually, it's not what you
think.
The way men and women approach
networking and business is as different as the ways in which the genders
relate to one another. Taking inspiration from the research that went
into the book by the same name (author Dr. Ivan Misner, Frank DeRaffele and )
Paul will share some of his practical experience of creating business from
effective referral strategies.
"Are men and women really
so different...or do we have a tendency to just focus on what makes us
different instead of how we are similar?"
At next Thursday's event you will
come away with absolute clarity and excitement about your year ahead.
The evening will be interactive and will demonstrate how to
adopt a more focused approach to turning business cards into
business.
Who will benefit?
People with an open mind who
really do want to grow their business and have the courage to zig when
everyone else is zagging. Not for the faint-hearted ... Paul is a breath of
fresh air.
Short Biography:
Paul Clegg live in Wells,
Somerset has an extensive background in marketing and has been the Executive
Director of BNI, the world's leading referral organisation for the last ten
years.
Paul is the 'joined up marketing' guy with a corporate
background in marketing within the hair, beauty and anti-aging markets. He
has worked with and helped around 2,000 SME businesses in Somerset
and Wiltshire to develop referral marketing strategies that have generated
over £8 million worth of business in the last ten years.
No nonsense 'head in the cloud'
theory here. Paul actually walks the talk and knows what it is like to start
a business with zero marketing budget. He believes that the most valuable
asset you have in business in your network of contacts and your reputation.
And your reputation is what
people say about you behind your back!
