From September 2010, alongside the voting in of the Committee, a Constitution was adopted which details the parameters under which SWIRE now operates.

Although we are still a non-profit making organization and the Committee members receive no payment or expenses, charges have been introduced to cover the costs of running the group, paying for speakers expenses and also to cover the various fees incurred in running websites and issuing newsletters.

Membership is £20.00 per year, with a £5.00 attendance charge at each meeting. Because we want to attract and support local businesses and are non-profit making, we do not need to charge the many hundreds of pounds which some national networking groups charge.

In addition to this, if you want to be included on the Contacts Page which showcases members and their contact details, there is a further cost of £10.00. The only proviso to this is that we ask members to then attend a minimum of three meetings annually. This, we hope will ensure that members become involved in the fabric of SWIRE and not just utilize the group as a marketing resource.
